also today at work i had the rear tail lights and 3rd brake lights smoked looks pretty sweet

Welcome! The 4.3L V6 isn't a small motor! Its a big 6!
And why just go to a 4.8L? That's only a 1/2 liter bigger than what ya got!

i have a 4.8 laying around at my shop, needs lifters its a complete motor intake to oil pan
