Guess the numbers
Lets play a game. I am going to have my LSX s 10 tuned this coming Thursday and I have no idea what it will make. Lets guess and see how much it will put down and see who gets closest.
It is an 01 LS1 from an SS with its stock 853 heads with mild porting in the intake and exhaust ports. I have a GM ASA cam in it that I believe is 525 lift and 228/232 duration on a 110 lobe sep. It has the larger plastic truck MAF with an LS6 intake, Sanderson shorty headers, dual 2 1/4 into 3" single Magnaflow muffler over the axle and out the back. All this runs on 36lb flex fuel injectors and 87 octane. The final touch that may sway the outcome is that it has truck coil packs on it instead of the F body ones.
I am running a 4L60 with a Yank 3600 stall and 3.42 rear gears.
Let the fun begin.

Well my 4.8 with that cam made 317whp with a nitrous tune. About 330whp na tune. So Ima say about 350whp-375whp depending on tune and exhaust. What is your rev limiter set at? Cause you wont see peek until about 6krpms. Also the more open the exhaust the better with this cam. like, get rid of the mufflers and youll make a lot more power. with a good tune of corse
EDIT: the correct cam specs are 226/236 .525/.525 110lsa

367 put money on it :thumb:

Low 300's.
The short headers, cam, lots of stall with high gears, and 87 tune will hold it back.
You need some long headers, a 93 tune, a cam with less duration, more lift, and wider LSA, and some 4.10's.

Well........It didn't disappoint at 345 through an unlocked converter and 87 octane. Peak hp was at 6100 and the torque was around 328 at 4800.

not too bad, get a good set of 243 heads and you will gain another 20hp. I hate that are headers are such a pain:rant:

numbers are low especially the torque.
