Volant cause its closed in and you dont get as much hot engine air and its easy to make your own cold air scoop.
Doesnt Volant sell a kit for there intake. To make it ram airQuote:

LOL Mitch! Yeah, Dale has had a few... But his current setup is the best. I will let him chime on and tell us how he built it.
I got the volant with ram air...i like it but just dont do to much offroading....
i went with the K&N FIPK....i like it...has a nicely made intake tube thats "supposed" to not heat sink(sp?) as bad as stock garbage and has a sealed "box", the filter is located inside of it to help reduce temps from the engine...may not "look" as pretty as the volant...but does the job!!!
