Hey guys,
Newbie here from Alberta. Truck is a 1988 GMC, she is getting an LS motor within the next month or so, looking forward to it. Truck has been painted, 22" wheels, 4.56 gears out back,

Welcome EH! What motor you slappin in there? We have several OBS LS motor swap threads and countless members who have already done it who can help answer your questions!

I will definitely try and get some more pictures up for you guys, will be sure to take lots with the swap!
I live in Lethbridge, about a hour and a half south of Calgary and about an hour north of the US.
For the motor I bought a 5.3 out of a 2002 RCSB, 60,000 km (36,000 mi) on it, and the transmission out of the same truck.
So far I have a set of Schoenfeld headers on their way, custom grind cam (out of a 6.0 in an S10 that went 9.8 in the 1/4, not sure on the specs of it yet), 4000 stall Yank converter, LS1 intake and all the goodies that go along with that, doing a shift kit and servo in the tranny, thats about it so far. Should melt some tires with that TC and with the 4.56's. Going to be a fun project thats for sure!
I have been reading alot in the forums for information, its sure great here! The guy I bought the cam off of is a genius with LS motors so he will be a big part of my build, some of you may even know him as Black X on s10forum.com
Anyhow, I will try and get some pictures together, been pretty busy with the build so far but will let you all know how it goes without a doubt, exciting!
Take care, talk to you all again soon and thanks a lot for the comments!
