should I?
alright guys... laugh at me. A guy i kno wants me to put a set of gears in his 8.8 mustang rear. iv never actually done a set of gears before. my ford 9" was just a third member i bolted in. anyone have a how to on this? and hes not a friend nor a buddy of mine. saw my truck and was like hey stranger you wanna work on my slow stang? he says he has the gears and install kit with shims.what should i charge him? is this a difficult job? should be pretty straightforward if i just reuse the old shims and just check with the marking paint?

True, doesnt Hurt To Try,always A First Time For Everything:) Good Luck If You Do It.

anyone else have any input on this?
-
Just take your time and make shure everything is within specs or there will be premature failure and a lot of gear noise. Should be able to find a good write up or book to help you out. Good luck man.

ive heard that stuff is really hard to do, and the smallest mistake can mess up the whole thing. if you do it, i would take your time and be absolutely sure you're following the steps correctly.
