does anyone run a 6.0 an th350 instead of th400???
imo it would be like running an old 4l60e. th350 is prolly rated for about the same. 400 is much stronger and not alot more. just my .02
i understand that complety..i was asking cause i can buy one for 400 bucks rite now with straight cut gears and the whole 9 yards pretty much bullet proof out of my buddys 5.60's amx
but realize that what kills the trannys in a truck so bad is the weight. but it will bolt up the same as a th400. only one way to find out if it will hold
yeah i have seen some strong th350's being built but the th400's are that much stronger...but you can try and give it a shot...you arent making enough power right now to even worry about it IMO
o yes i agree on that one if it was for my truck id never do it id go with a 400..it's goin n my firebird..my truck is jus a fun daily..im buildin a 94 f-body with a lq4 gt2-3 cam and 80mm bolted on the front
well hell you didnt state that to begin with....th350 is the way to go in a f-body!
ya, the car info would have helped....lol.
sry about that wasn't thinking at first lol...it should be a decent car im hoping atleast..im swapin it from bein a v6 car so it's full tube k member an control arms (60lb lighter)...im tryin to keep up wit a vette 2 of my buddy r building at BPM but i don't c it hapinin lol
i was gonna say i run a th350 and have had no problems. my truck has seen countless passes on the street. and we copyed the tranny build my uncle did on his street vette and that trans has been together 6 years with a 468 on two stages, 150/300. and it weighs 4020 with him in it (77 with system, iron head and block). some people just abuse trannys though and have bad luck.
