I was just wondering if anyone here had any opinions on Off-Road Unlimited products. I'm considering spending the money and doing it all right, and using one of their kits. I've read on their sites, about using custom springs packs (the way they do it) from National Sproing, and actually getting a softer (not so bouncy) ride out of the vehicle. I've talked to several people who have the pretty much same ift i'm wanting under their rides,a nd they used much stiffer springs, and have said they cannot travel over 70mph on the highway with 44's, due to the stiff, bounciness of the springs, and the bouncy nature of the tires. I'd like to be able to cruise at speeds of over 70, hopefully a softer spring would allow me to do so?

Want soft right? Air.. bag that bitch :smile: Yea, they make air bags for the 4x4 crowd. It doesnt slam it, it just helps with the ride and possible gets you a little more lift. I haven't read indepth about them yet, so i'm unsure if they just replace the shocks and ride better or what, but lemme find you a pic of an s-10 with a setup.

Not wanting soft ride as much as I'm wanting to be able to do normal highway speeds withouth te truck bouncing/wandering all over the place. The airbag set-ups look pretty slick,but I'm sure they are a pretty penny? Also-I've actually seen some trucks that have been able to lift themselves higher with the airbags. Does pro-longed periods of time at a certain height hyurt them? I mean, like if you had them inflated for days on end, what kinda damage would/could that do?

Since I dont know much about 4wd's, i do know that a soft spring is nice, but get to soft and you'll bounce then also. They best to check which will work, call a shop or a business that sells it and ask them, they can give you the 411 on it.
As for the bags, riding on them inflated doesn't hurt them, just once a week, you need set the ride at full height and check your gauge(s) to see how many psi you've dropped in 24 hrs. That will tell you if you have a slow leak or everything is fine.
Not sure on the 4x4 versions, but yea.. bags for a 2wd can get costly. They can go from buying the parts sperately and wanting front, back, individual wheel (a total of 4 switches and with those 4, you can do anything with the fast enough fingers, or get a 10 switch box for 40 from AIM Industries (even tho AIM sucks).. You can get that setup, which rides on a mono-leaf (not good), for around 1500 bucks complete with 1 5 gal tank and a smaller compressor that will probably burnout or take forever. To up around 2500+ for good top quality setup with a 4 link and most of the time a custom 4 link to provide a lot more lift then an "off the shelf" 4link and bag setup.
Now, for 4wd, i seen a kit from AIM for around 2200, so expect to pay a little more for a good company.
I think softer leafs would be yor best bet.
