my motor keeps throw knock sensor codes and my transmission is pretty much on its last leg. well, im buying a 5.3 for my truck and wanted to make sure that the connectors are the same on both motors and that the computer wiring harnesses are the same.
exactly the same stuff. You may have to swap intakes and oil pressure sensor if its different.
why would i have to swap intakes if im buying a complete motor?
If you have one that is DBW and the old one was DBC you'd have to swap them because one isn't interchangable with the other due to lack of bolt holes or vacuum ports. Compare the two closely.
If its 99-02 its DBC and 03+ is DBW, if the new motor is in the same year range as your current old motor above It will be the same.
