So I'm wanting to paint my FMIC so that it's not so obvious

I'm needing to know what type and color of paint is best. I saw somewhere where flat black is better for heat dissipation. Any ideas??

i read that too, i would just use some krylon satin.
Black dissipates heat the best but if you do paints it i would make sure you don't paint the fins. If to much paint gets on the fins it would restrict air flow between them and would not cool as well.
Yes flat black.
would that special high temp paint stuff dissipate heat any better than just regular flat black?
One of the body guys may be able to better answer this but the only difference between regular temp and high temp is the chemicals used to prevent the paint burning. It more resists heat than contain/dissipate heat.
The easiest way is to get some spray paint that is made for BBQ grills. Its like 5 bucks. It dissipates heat very well. And is rated up to 1200 degrees. Give it like 4 hours before you put it back on the truck. It comes in a very low shine black, gray and white.
Thanks!
Flat black, should cool better too.
Or you can send it to Wolfe Blasting & Coating in La Marque Tx
and they can coat it in their dark gray "thermal dispersant" coating.
THERMAL DISPERSANT
