lowering with torsion bars???

Well my VHO has the torsion bar setup under the front end. I have a lot of 4wd buds that tighten up their keys to level the front end. Well with that in mind, I went ahead and took the adj bolts for the keys completly out. It dropped the truck down a few inches but still not happy, I want more!!! I was lookin at drop kits online, and I love the 4,4 kit that Truckin just did in their mag. They did spindles and keys on the front end, so do I need to bite the bullet and get the kit or what. I just want about 2in out of the front, so my question is can I do it with the drop keys or should I just save up for the spindles. Would I get any more drop out of the drop keys. What do you guys think?

The keys will work, but what a lot of guys will tell you is the spindles are the better way to go. The keys tend to soften the ride up too much and make for a really spongy feel, and I've heard of some places having trouble with realignment of the front end. I was also looking at this for my 4wd, and I think I'm going to bite the bullet and buy the spindles, even though they cost almost 3x as much.

Well I did luck out when I got the alginment but like you said it is a lil spungy. Bad enough that I cut down the bumpstops to help it a bit. It does just fine until I get to my bumpy ass country roads. So maybe I just need the spindles and I could adjust my keys if I need too. Oh yeah, someone told me to get some factory F150 keys and it will drop the front on a Chevy is this true?

Swap your keys for HD keys, you will get about 2" drop. Trim the bump stops about an inch. That is what I did with my VHO.

Warning, it will ride a bit rougher since you are more on the stops.

Just spend the extra cash and do the spindles. You will have a much better ride quality and proper suspension geometry. McGaughys and Belltech both make a nice spindle.

Thats the stance im lookin for, very nice. What did you do for the rear, cause mine is shackles, removed factory blocks, and no overload spring. Im just hoping to get anywhere from 1 to 2in more drop in the front to get that stance. So HD keys, wow!!! That would be cheap

If I were doing it again, spindles all the way. But, for $20 the keys are for sure cheap.

Rear was 3" Belltech drop leafs. If you go high power, you will need something to help with axle wrap.

OMG you drove without the adjuster bolts?

I bet you didn't use the proper tool to relieve tension either....that can kill you.
