Wheel Question
I have an 01 Tahoe LT 4X4 and the tires are just about ready to be replaced. I figured that while I am at it I could use some new wheels as well.
I already know that I want to go with BFG M/S, but my problem came when I was looking for wheels.
I contacted a rep from OutlawOffroad here in Orange County and he directed me to Eagle and Pro-Comp.
I think he works on commission so I wanted to get some straight advice from non-biased people.
First
My truck is stock height, but I am looking to get a more aggressive stance by using slightly wider wheels than stock, maybe 8 or 9 inches instead of the factory 7. Is this possible or is it going to rub and drive me nuts?
Second
I was looking at the Eagle 058 series and the 186. Is Eagle a reputable company? I mainly use my truck for snowboarding trips and the occasional towing of boats and jet-skis.
Finally
The quote I was given
$440 for the wheels (Eagle 058)
$830 for the tires (BFG 265-75-16 AT)
Am I being taken advantage of, or does this seem like legit pricing?
Thanks for any help you can give me. I tried searching but I guess the 4X4 section of this site is relatively new and I didn't come up with many answers.
Take care guys.

You can get the tires at a better price than that. Go to Discount Tires, Custom Wheels, Rims, Goodyear, Michelin, Cooper Tires I just looked and for the A/T you are looking at $660 plus they have a 50% off shipping. As far as the wheels the price sounds about right. I know a lot of jeep guys use eagle wheels.

You might have a bit of rubbing with an 8" wide rim but nothing big. Assuming BS is same. Trimming the inner fender will take of it if any excessive rubbing. Are you running 265's already?
