what is a 2008 5.3 long block worth??

hello everyone, i am thinking of doing an ls3 swap in my 2008 rcsb silverado. Can anyone tell me how much the 5.3 vvt long block would be worth w/ only 3000 miles on it?? Runs great obviously!

I am pretty sure you could get alot more than a grand for it. TO someone wanting that. Most the guys on here arent worried about stock motors. So in turn it isnt worth much in this circle. If it was a 6.0 or a LS2/3/6 his quote would have been alot more.

you might get a little more but not much. You can get 30k and less 6L LQ9 engines for $1700 almost any day if you look.

i guess id swap it into my bros 08 rcsb 4.8 before i gave it away for 1k.

I am taking my price idea from what people get for complete pull out at junk yards. He could probably get 1500 for it because of the low miles and it being a 08. As far as on here or ebay or something it would be about a grand.

I'd guess an '08 style would be worth less than the '06 back style because of no demand. Plus it's a 5.3.

I am just getting my numbers from the fact a while back I was looking for a 5.3 for a s-10. Called everyone in the area. They wanted 700 for a motor with over 100000 and the ones they wanted that were less than 20000 they wanted close to 1400.
