My 2001 Z71 has had a problem that I have had a hard time pin-pointing. When going from a stop to giving it gas to go it has this almost squeek of an engagement. It dosen't do it all the time but the majority of the time. Any help figuring out the problem would be great.
It's the slip yoke in most cases. The lift makes it worse. Polish the rust off and put some heavy, thick grease (the best is the green goo that goes inside CV joints) inside the yoke.
It might be just the squeek of the brakes or letting off them. What kind of squeek is it and do you know where its coming from?
I thought brakes myself, but when it does it there's a small hesitation like something engaging.

I just picked up some new u joints so when I change them out I'll go ahead and clean up the slip yoke, and get some of the green cv grease on it. Thanks for the help guys.
Put some inside it where the splines are.
it also could be the springs wrapping up. Retorque the axle u-bolts while you're under there.
