F.A.I. idea...worth it??

Ok so i drew this up a while ago. its an idea for a natural forced air induction that runs from the lower valence through a secondary filter,
then a bypass valve for when it rains or offroading to run through the main air filter,

then Directly to the throtle body.

and want to see you what you guys think of it or if it will work very cheap to make and easy as well..so i would not mind spending some time making it if its going to be an improvment... any ideas, questions, comments welcome heres a picture i hope you guys can decipher.

Sounds nice. I thought about trying to run an Air Conditioner duct to a turbo and then force the air into the motor so you dont lose horsepower with the AC running and no need for an intercooler.

That dosnt sound like a bad idea.. but is the load on the motor from the a/c pump going to cancel out the gain you would get from cold air? donno the a/c air is pretty cold.. it might work.

Thus leaving you with AC running and the same power you had before turning the AC on :)

Ford Supercooler official website. Something similar was in the works in 2003. Used the a/c to cool a tank of antifreeze basically, which was passed through the intercooler for a 45 second burst of 50 hp that could be "recharged"...indefinitely. Pretty cool concept in my opinion. Too bad SVT died.:ma:lol

I did this on my 03, but without a bypass. Definitely felt a difference at highway speeds.

So do you guys think it would help when doing 70 on the freeway with mileage? it seems like it wouldnt hurt... plus if it rains or whatever i dont want to get in the intake i can bypass it to the underhood filter with a switch in the cab at any time.
