TC and towing?
I dont think I Really will benefit from a torque convertor right now but later on i plan on cam and heads swap. MY concern is I due a fair amount of towing (10k+) and really need that low end brunt getting off the line with that pig behind me, will a TC cause me problems with that much weight or have any adverse effects?
Truck is in sig 01 2500hd 4x4 315/75/16 tires

It won't be a problem if you choose wisely. With a standard performance converter you'll probably burn up the clutch towing a load.
Pick one that has a heavy-duty clutch, like these:
Yank Performance Manufacturing.

don't go any bigger than 2600-2800

Yup--since you are using it for towing, you won't be getting crazy with your cam specs... Since you have a 80e tranny, i wouldn't even do a stall. Just spec something for low end powa!

I would put at least a 2200 RPM stall in for towing with an 80e to get into the low end of the TQ curve. If not a converter then get a lower planetary gear set put in the transmission for better acceleration from a stop.

You could also change the differential gears and go a bit lower for the lower end torque that you want and you will end up getting better fuel mileage when towing.
But it all depends on what you currently have.
