Loose connector? Bad ground? Burnt bulbs?
its definetly in the plate. i have power into the plate but not comming out of it. why would gm put this dumb plate in anyway? does anyone kno what this plate is called so i can get a new one. i kno its the plate cus i ran a hotwire from the harness going into it to the one tailight and i had power at the light. what is this anemic peice called?
haha ohh yea i forgot i have a buddy who works at a chevy dealership as well. thanks for the idea. i might have to give him a call.

Talking about the junction box that is bolted to the frame at the back, where all the rear lights plug in?
OIC. I have seen problems with corrosion inside the rear lamp junction block. I've also seen opens in them. Most commonly I see problems with the tail lamp jumper harness from the junction block to the sockets. Also....the 3rd brake light is on a completely different circuit than the other two. It has it's own fuse, etc.
