In need of more power
06 Silverado
5.3L
Bone stock
I am considering cam, pulley, exhaust, etc.
Any recommendations for brands, specs, what works/what doesn't would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, guys.

well for starters is this your daily driver or track only truck. if its daily driver the cam choice will make a difference. A lot of people seem to like the Gm Hot cam, or i like my thunder racing cam as well, has lots of power and really pulls like crazy up top. you will most likely need springs and hardened pushrod's, so i bought a kit was the easiest way and got everything i needed. Get some electric fans going in there as well. Exhaust i wish i had gone with headers that had flanges on the end, i bought the pacesetters but since i have to worry about emissions i had to have cats welded in, ect. If you don't have to worry about emissions then you can get the ORY (off road y pipe) would be a seamless install.
check out the front page.. with the 100hp on a budget
daily driver.
currently plated as a MI truck but will have TX plates in april so emissions will be/are an issue
Go with a thunder racing 220 or something in the same area from TSP. I got a step down from the 220 which is the old man cam and i regret not going at least a little bigger every day. Like stated earlier get the kit. You will need it. LT headers are a good buy as well as efans. Get a tune more then anything if you dont have one. Nealson is a good buy because if you plan on doin alot more upgrades he does retunes for free i believe. I advise going ahead and picking up billet servos and a shift kit. Because a good cam and everything thats been stated will QUICKLY end the life of a tranny. Thats why mine is slipping and in need of a full rebuild because i cut corners and didnt install mine when virgil and tyler did the motor.
