4l80e not shifting/fuel gauge/tach signal

Real quick...1994 3/4 ton suburban with 2001 6.0 (LQ4) and matching 4l80e.

Anyone had any problem with their 4l80e not shifting? When its in OD and D it wont get out of first gear. It was shifting ok, but just started doing this. Anything come to mind?

Fuel gauge is pegged past full. I never touched the signal wire so I dont know why it wouldnt work. Switched out the fuel pump to AC Delco, but made all connections. Maybe ground?

When i make the tach signal connection it doesnt look like I am getting the full signal. Seems to be about 500-1000 below where it should be.

Check the power wire going to the transmission, should have 12v going down there from the brake pedal switch, 12v with foot off pedal, 0v when pressing down on the pedal.

Tach, switch the output in the PCM to 3 pulses if you have HPTuners software, or EFILive.

Any way to change to 3 pulses without HPTuners or EFILive?

Got another one for you, I made the connection on the temp sensor to factory gauges almost right at the sensor and the temp gauge slowly went up as it ran, but went all the way pegged and does every time. It really doesnt seem like it is running that hot even though its not shifting right now.

The fuel gauge signal wire is purple terminal W at the instrument panel plug and goes to the sender. From the sender, there is a ground black wire at the top front of the engine (G110) according to my diagram but I've seen plenty of these trucks that have the ground under 13mm headed bolt at the back on the frame. If either of these circuits are open, the gauge will read full. A short to ground in the purple wire anywhere between the tank and the gauge will make it read empty.

Also make sure pink terminal E at the transmission plug is hot all the time the key is on.

The ground is at the back of the frame - looks fine. I have to trace the signal wire to see whats going on.

Got the shifting issue straightened out but wont go into OD. Also, has a bad hiccup from first to second at low rpms, if I mash it it shifts fine. Any suggestions?

Is it WOT? Mine was doing that when the tranny got to hot.

Not going into OD or the first to second issue?
