If I were to swap a 2000 PCM into a 2004 truck, is there anything that could possibly get damaged, to either the truck or computer. I need to know because I want to show my friend what a difference a tuned pcm will make over a handheld.

I dont think that will work. My be wrong.
Things changed a little in 2003.
Won't work.
Yup. in order to do so, you must use the year specific PCM--I think... A 99-00 PCM will work with a 01-02 but some things are off slightly. An 03 will not work with an 06...the PCM will not sync up right...
if not mistaken, the 00 wont even bolt to the 04 harness.
it will not even plug in...been there tried that...the green plug on the 04 will not fit where the red plug is on the 00...trust me
its prob a good thing it didnt, no tellin what i woulda messed up!!!
Yeah....the older ones are red/blue and the newer ones have a green plug, no?
thanks for the info, now who on hear has ever dealt with Blackbear tuning, trying to get the same friend to quit messing around with unknown places and get a nelson tune
