Important valve stem recall
Guys, If you have purchased tires in the past year or so, then you most likely got a bad batch of valve stems. They are the rubber ones that do not have the full metal stem. The rubber is dry rotting and also very brittle. So far only Discount tire is recalling them, sears and ntb are on the fence about it. Check yours, bend them around see if you can feel or hear air leaking from them. My dad was driving his truck and his popped out, luckily no damage was done but were he got his tires from they didn't recall (4wheel parts). So he had to dish out $100 to get 4 new stems and get them installed. Mine are leaking too, but sears will not replace them for free under a recall yet. Just giving you guys a heads up, check them out... its on most valve stems sold in the US.
