i smell oil!

ok i have breathers on my pvc and valve cover cause when i get into boost hard i was getting oil in my intale ,hence fouled plugs smoke etc.the problem im having is that whenever i come to a stop i get alittle condensation smoke and i smell oil ,its definately coming out of the breathers i can watch the vapors come out of the breathers.does anyone have this issue and how can solve it?

I can't smell mine, but I have to passenger covers that have oil filler breathers.

i also dont have any baffles cuz i cur them out for my roller rockers.i wonder if this has any bearing on it.i actually get alittle like idk if its smoke or condensation coming out of them but i see it and smell it.it makes my feel like im driving a pos.when i come up to red light or stop.i dont think its anything new because its done it since i installed the breathers.i wonder if a catch can setup would help.

I don't have FI so I don't have any real life experience with that subject. I have a breather on the driver side and I still pull vacuum from the driver side and the valley cover using an LS6 cover plate.

ooo you had to get fancy on me huh ,i thought u just had the same as me.im wondering wth is causing this its pissing me off.everyone said just through a couple breathers on it .ye it solved 1 problem but created another.go figure right.?im thinking about changing my valve covers back to baffled 1s.i dont have the roller rockers on it anymore ,i hated the noisy bastards.

LS6 valley cover will most likely solve your problem.

I put a catch can inline and ran the factory system. I couldn't stand the oil smell.

hey sc ,could you clarify a little bit on exactly how you did it ?and what do you mean by you ran the fac. system.the smell is killing me.what process did u use etc.so its not just me ,it does happen?

I have the same symptoms as you. I've been told that it's normal for a breather setup. I think I'm going to go back to a closed system as well...when I come to a stop I get crankcase fumes blown into the cab through the a/c. Anyone wanna get high?
