OBS Soft Brake Pedal

New O'Reilly's MC, used Brake Booster and I did ck its operation, new front calipers, and new rear wheel cylinders.

Also stainless brake lines in front and rear.

After bleeding the air out of the system the brake pedal still goes 7/8 to the floor with mininmal pedal feel.
If I push the pedal quickly I can hear like a whoosh sound. Like air though liquid.

Im out of ideas and im really trying my best not to start throwing sh**.:ma:

Im almost ready to drive it and cant evn get if off the jackstands.:ugh2:

I guess you adjusted the rear brake shoes?

From the description of the whoosh sound it sounds like the brake booster is defective.

Weird...I can only think of 3 things.
1. Are you sure you bled the brakes correctly?
2. Do you have enough fluid in the system?
3. Did you tighten the bleeder valves completely after bleeding the system?

My 3 dumb questions are in addition to Gregs question. Also, was all of this work done on a level surface? Like is your driveway at a 45* angle? Please say yes. LOL...

i ck'd it, i removed the vacuum line and air did come out, so I guess its holding vacuum.

Unless thats not a good way to ck

garage is level

This trk has never been hard to bleed brakes and always gave me a firm pedal but now...

If you pump the pedal numerous times does it still go to the same place or does it get more firm and require less travel?

it gets a little firmer.

also I noticed when I push the pedal the rear of the MC reservoir for the front brakes bubbles will come from the bottle and go to the top.

Thats what I think is making the whoosh sound

its firmer when the trk is off than when its running

but it does get firm almsot at the end of the stroke

And you made mention that you have new, solid, uncracked (so air can't get into them) brake lines?
