		a/c help
I've searched and not found much info on getting the a/c to fit and work properly.
I have a 03 5.3 going into 96. I've heard that I may need to notch the frame or get some other kit from S&P but haven't found the kit on there website.
How much of the frame needs notching and would I have to weld and box in what I take out?
I was looking at the S&P video of the 96 tahoe they did the swap in and the a/c is mounted up high, wonder what year that engine came out of or was that there conversion brackets, etc?
 Getting closer guys. Lol.

Just spoke with Jon at Nelson and he has my wiring/pcm so within 2 weeks "hopefully" the transplant begins.

id say its up to u. it is a little easier to go high but a lot of cutting and fitting to go low. with my 98 it is a very tight fit and was a lot of work to get the ac lines made up. it is such a tight fit that the manifold hold down bolt barely touches the upper control arm mount

If you’re using the truck crank pulley and water pump you can use your vortec accessories, just bolt them to the heads. You will have to fab some small brackets. I used all of mine, but kept the LS6 water pump and made a separate pulley and used the AC crank pulley to drive it.

I only bad thing about my setup is I have to run the belt over the throttle body.

this is where I got the idea
