I am getting ready to do my 6.0/4L80 swap in my 1990 2WD truck, can i use the truck oil pan? and if so how far below my Xmember will it set? I am doing a 4/6 drop and i don't want it to be hitting anything that i come across in the road.

I can't remember off hand but if nobody tells you before tonight I'll measure it for you.
I'll try to get the truck also but here's some info to help.

I know that the truck one is around 8 3/4 deep i think as where the f body is only 5 3/4 ish
I just didn't know how low it would hang.
I would use the f-body if it was mine. I know the last swap Allen did they were concerned that the truck pan would hit. That truck would lay frame.
And here's a good link at LS1Tech with the truck dimensions.

BTW, I'd stick with the F-body also to be safe not to mention it's easier to drop the engine in place.
I'm running truck pan 12560392 and it sits 1.25" lower than the front crossmember at the centerline of the truck. The Fbody pan/windage tray/pickup tube/dipstick assembly is the way to go on a slammed truck for sure, especially if you like to drive while dropped.
$125 for all the parts to convert to Fbody pan is what I paid. Its a little hard to find them used sometimes. Post up on LS1Tech.com in their wanted section for the parts listed.
