Just picked up a tranny cooler from out of a Eldorado, it a plate type cooler not sure of what the rating is, but wondered if it was a big enough cooler for my 4l80e? It's a stock T/C for now but will upgrade later. Also which of the lines are the supply from the Tranny?
It'll work but you'd benefit from a larger cooler. The supply line usually comes out the top of the radiator and the return goes in the bottom.
Thanks, I thought that i would put a gage inline. Hot in the top, return out of the bottom of the radiator, right? Which line coming from the tranny is the outlet? Also I think I read some where to have the aux cooler before the radiator, so it would maintain the temp from being to cool in the winter?

Is it better to run an external cooler, or use the one that is on the radiator? Or both?
When i get my swap together i was thinking about using a large external cooler and then maybe a radiator fan off of a motorcycle so that it would have it's own cooling system.
I was wondering if anyone else has used a setup like this?
