I found the vette servo kit for the 4L60e on Oregon Performance Transmission's website and they are very cheap. I just want to make sure that it'll be everything i need. Comes with the 1-2 and 2-3 servos and all the seals plus the out-cover O ring. One more thing, is this a pretty simple do it yourself prjoect, or am I better off going to a transmission shop? Thanks for any help.
I had my mechanic install mine since he was rebuilding the tranny anyway but if you want to tackle it yourself here is a link with what looks to be some pretty good instructions.

The other guys here know way more than I do but I remember reading one persons opinion that you could replace servo's (plural) and get the same results as a shift kit.

Use a pry bar and push against the frame and the servo to push it in to get the snap ring off... Once that is off, you can pull out the servo. Some tranny fluid will come with it, so make sure to have a shop rag and the ground below the servo. Once you've got it out, put the new stuff on and use the same technique with the pry bar to push the servo all the way in to reinstall the snap ring. It prolly take all of 20-30 minutes to do...
No offense taken, had I not needed to have the tranny rebuilt anyway I would have done it myself, those look like some pretty good instructions I posted.
yeah the ones from oregon performance comes with everything. thats where I got mine from, and its pretty darn easy
Is there some kind of paper gasket too? I was told by a guy who has one that it needs an actual paper gasket for the servo itself.

Once you get the Vette servo assembly installed you only need to get a metal forward accumulator and white spring and you will be set. I dont have a shift kit, and with those parts it shifts hard at WOT. Not nearly as hard as a good shift kit though, so dont expect that.

Forward accumulator and white spring? And where do you get those?
Sounds easy enough..I might even have my buddy help just for an extra set of hands. I'll go on the OPT website and order a set up right now. Thanks guys.
