The first time I pulled the trany pan bolt out I had to drill and easy out it. Bought a new bolt, it lasted about 3 times. I use a 6 point socket but the bolt is so soft and so short it turns to mush. A chisel and vise grip got this one out.

So I set it up in my desktop mill.

And made a 1/2" bolt with deeper flanks.

Some times I change the 2 1/2 quarts in the trany pan when I change the engine oil.

I drilled a hole in the pan to drain mine, then got the bolt out and welded the hole closed while the pan was off. I got a new bolt and have had it out since then without problems. They SUCK with that short head.

use a 12 point socket and make sure uve got the right size. also make sure ur using metric or standard whichever fits. this may be a problem fixer, but u may have already done both those things im not sure.

Trash the stock pan and put on a larger capacity aluminum pan. VIOLA! Problem solved. :thumb:
