The first time I pulled the trany pan bolt out I had to drill and easy out it. Bought a new bolt, it lasted about 3 times. I use a 6 point socket but the bolt is so soft and so short it turns to mush. A chisel and vise grip got this one out.

So I set it up in my desktop mill.

And made a 1/2" bolt with deeper flanks.

Some times I change the 2 1/2 quarts in the trany pan when I change the engine oil.
