Amber DRL bulbs
I've heard some people changing out the white bulbs (4114LL) with Amber bulbs. The only thing I can find are the 3157 Amber bulbs. I noticed that the Amber bulbs are a little more powerful than the white ones. Is this going to cause any electrical problems or get to hot and hurt the lenses? Also, is the the bulb I should be using? Thanks

Use the 3157 bulb. I've been using the amber ones for several years with no problems.

sylvania sells some like that if you look at the wattage and voltage they are the same as the replacement bulb...

4114ll is replaced by 4157k which 4157k comes in amber the O'reilly part number is 4157nak-bp

I use the 3157 in blue and amber and have had no problem with them

3157 is not as powerful as 4157 so it is really your choice which one you want. I was just saying that the 4114ll replaced the 4157.

Sounds good. Thanks for the quick replies.

I've also had 3157 Amber bulbs in my DRLs since the week I bought the truck. That was over 2 years ago. They've lasted longer than most OEM DRL bulbs that I've seen.

How has the color lasted? Has it began to peel or flake off yet?
