I HATE having to time it just right to open both my doors. Is there anyway to get both to open with one click on the thing?
Thanks!

I know what you mean, you must be talking about your z28, i hated that too, lol.
I'm sure you could find the signal wire that is activating the relay for the drivers door and hook it to the realy that goes to the passenger door also. All you would need is to splice the two toegther.
i think, it doesn't sound that hard. just need to get a book that shows the schematics. When the alarm got installed on the tahoe, both doors opens with one button. I bet you could do the same on the z28. Both door relays that control the locks are on one signal wire.
let's try it and you can do a write up on it. i'm sure others will follow, i can only help via the forum, but i'll help if you want to try it.
see ya online,

Hell ya, I'd like to give it a shot. I have no idea where to start this undertaking but am up for it. I just get so frustrated by that crap. If you miss click I just keep clicking, it is just a nuisance!
It seems basic so....?
I wish I hadn't sold my 98 Helms manuals, those things were badass, very detailed.
I guess the first place to start is to find the door schematics (if there's such a thing) and let's find the wire that powers the door soleniod, on that soleniod there will be probably three wires (maybe more gm likes to over do it and be safe, heheh) lets find the signal wire coming from who knows where and connect those two from each door togother, jeez if that made sense.
i'll search around for the schematic too, maybe gmcwantsls1 will chime in, i think he has a cd that may have some info on it, if i remember correctly.

Hmmm, I will have to pull my door panel first and find that lock solenoid.
Find the power lead for the opening and splice into it to the other door.
Seems pretty simple actually, just need to play around and have a general idea of what I am looking for.
cool, you're still interested, i was wondering about this mod. a soleniod usually has three wires, ground, power, signal/activate,
splice the two wires that activate the soleniods and i think you'll be ok, then when you push that button one time, it will open both door locks when the drivers door lock opens.
keep me updated, sounds like a simple mod but very worth it.
later,
allen

Never got to messing with it, I should but other things need to be done first.Quote:
