I was just wondering what is the best way to remove the stock trim an emblems? Do yall think it would look better without the trim? (this is on a NBS)

I think it looks alot better without the emblems an trim, but remember not to go scraping at it with a putty knife  . Or if you do be very carefull. Later Bigbody
Sorry Eric, I accide3ntly signed-on under your screen name. But you know what I mean, Later man
I jsut striped all the emblems on mine this past weekend, looks great.
 Wish i knew that before hand, i couldn't get the back silverado and chevrolet emblems of the tailgate so i tried to kinda slip a putty knife and peel from there, everything went fine or so i though. when i washed the truck i noticed little scraches at the corners of where the emblems used to be. :sad:Quote:

if you have a LS watch out for the two back ones they suck, the rest just heat them up with a blow dryer and peel off, they come off easy
go for it, I did, looks great, but park far away! :thumb:
use fishing line to get to the raised emblems, and work it back and forth.:thumb:
I also heard that you should warm them up then take a peice of string and run it behind the emblems or trim an they will peel right off. Anyone tried that before?
For the side trim i used a heat gun and an old credit card to slip under the corner of the trim....run the heat gun back and forth over the trim til it heats uo and softens and gently pull....work your way down......the back Chevrolet and Silverado in the tailgate are tougher due to it being a metal trim peice....be paitent...and heat it longer....but be sure to keep the gun moving......if you have an LS and you have the LS emblems by the doors....they pop off quite easily... :thumb:
