6.5l Turbo diesel to 5.7 Vortec swap

Hi... a buddy of mine wants me to convert his K2500 1997 Suburban (6,5TD, 4L80E)to a 1997 5,7 Vortec / 4L60E out of a k1500 1997 Tahoe. I've got a few questions about this swap: does his transfercase which was mated to the 4L80E mate to the 4L60E? That means are the output gear and bolt pattern the same on the 4L60E / 4L80E? Then what about fuel tank / pump, does my electric in tank pump assembly fit the Suburbans tank? Can I use the burb's fuel lines? Whatelse could cause some problems?
