Open element worth it?

Hey guys I want to help the radix breathe a little better, what do you think?
Here are my choices:

-Pro cold intake (http://www.prodyno.com/index3.html) $289 :tantrum:
-Get just a conical filter and leave it instead of the stock air box
-Make a hole in the bottom of the stock airbox. :whack:
-Or leave the damn thing alone.

Also, is it strictly necessary to unplug the negative of the battery for the filter change or the computer will learn the changes without reseting it?, I'm asking this because it's a PITA to make this truck idle right whenever I reset the PCM since the cam install.

I have the Volant air box before I had the Radix installed, The only think I feel is the noise with Volant Box.. But it's up to you... :thumb:

The Volant seems to work with mine too.

Save yourself some money, just get some pipe and a cone K&N, max like 60 dollars and its gonna flow as good if not better than anything out there.
