whats up with this?
Im trying to put my helix back on with the bbk 80mm tb, i got longer bolts @ a machine shop that was the same thred size as the one that came with the tb, they would got into the intake about a 1/2 a turn then would stop. Today i got different bolts at Bombardier were i work and checked the thred size with a nut on the bbk bolt and the one i got from their and the nut threded up on both of them just fine, they did the same as the other ones. Were could i find a long enough bolt to work?

Things to check.
Do the longer bolts thread into the hole without the piece you are try to bolt on? If so you have a alignment problem.
Lay the longer and shorter bolts on each other with the heads pointing the opposite direction. Look to see day light between the threads to check if it is the same pitch.
You might of got bolts made to a larger tolerance, nuts are usually made on the loose side. The intake could have smaller diameter. If so get a die and spin the longer bolts through it to cut it down.
As always, I accept no responsibility for damage occurring from any or all information given by me in this or any post.

DO NOT USE A TB SPACER WITH THE BBK 80mm!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
he's right, that's what the adapter plate is for they sent with the throttle bode. the helix don't help your power anyways. it didnt mine anyways.
-
mine bolted right up to the intake with out a adapter. i was going to put it back on to increase my mpg.

if it does help with power/mpg... its ridiculously tiny increases... do you have the original tb bolts? you might be better off just taking it off... someone would buy it from you on ebay im sure.
however... if you contact the company that you bought the spacer from, sometimes they'll just charge you shipping to send the bolts and those usually work with no problems
