Tahoe Gauges
I finally added a set Tahoe 120 mph gauges and the soft blue lighting really makes a big difference. It's hard to get used to the speedo moving so much slower to compensate for the difference in mph. I had to recalibrate the speedo to match my own but damn they make it easy in GM's. Took about 2 minutes once I pulled the bezel off. I hated adding all of those miles to a low mileage gauge cluster. Just thought I'd share since som many other members have made the same swap.

woah woah woah.... we might need a write up on this! put up some pics man! i might want to look into this...
-
Yea i like to see some pics too...

The pics aren't the greatest but you'll get the idea. I think I'm going to add LED bulbs to make the brighter. They look better in person. Just amke sure you reset the mileage to match your vehicle unless you want to zero it out.

so now these are in your stock cluster but you replaced the screen inside? then how do you recalibrate teh speedo? and will the temp and oil pressure still read correct? cuz this is sweet and i WOULD LOVE THIS! the 100 gauge sux what year tahoe are these out of???
-
Actually you pull your old cluster out and they just plug in and there's no calibration. Very quick and simple............
-
what year did you get it out of???

I bought 2 sets a 97 and a 2000. I put the 2000 in on accident but the 97's are in just as good of shape with less miles. 96-2000 will work for you. I'd sell you the other set I have but I promised them to Rick Campbell. I'll look around and try to get you a set. They average 150 - 300 dollars depending on where you get them.

so is this for the entire cluter itself? id just stake my whole unit out and pop that one in? and is there anyway i can turn my milage back to 54k like my new motor will have?
-
Yes, it's the whole cluster and yes you can turn the mileage back to match yours. I did mine and it's really easy.
