Stockers work just fine.
is their any truth to them increasing mpg
If you believe the ads for the tornado, throttle body spacer, and Granatelli MAF, then yes you should also believe that plug wires will give you better mileage.
Another vote for stockers here.
I have to say no on the stockers, not because of performance, because of when you try to change the plugs they will break. I had broken 3 sets of stock wires, and I just said eff it and bought some taylors. Havent had a problem since. Oh and the performance crap is exactly that
I can't even tell you how many time I've removed and reinstalled my stock plug wires with absolutely no problems. If you have some patience and make sure you pull from the boot and not the wire they will come off with no problems.
I did the same thing, and the boot would come off but the little metal clamp that sticks to the plug would get stuck and break... And I even tried the grease, still had a couple get snagged. Maybe cause I had cheap wires or something... I still think for 50-75 bux buying some aftermarket wires isnt a bad idea. If nothing else the look better.
