small problem???

I was wondering how to fix the threads of a bolt like the threads on the steering shaft that holds the wheel on. long story short i'm an idiot and screwed up the threads on the end of the shaft :smash:

buy a triangle file and file them back into shape. You could buy a thread chasing nut to repair the thread but the triangle file will do the job.

I would try the thread chasing nut first. They seem to be easier to use. I have not tried the triangle file--but I would imagine it would take longer and you have more of a chance of screwing up the threads....
