fuel rails/manifold?
so i decided to install my fuel rails and injectors, get em all in go to bolt them down and the brackets dont line up .and my intake is higher than typical i guess bcause ,ya know how you have to use a spacer ?mine i have to flip the brackets over to get them to reach with the 60 lbers another words the intake is about an inch higher than the rails.the biggest problem is my center to center on the rails is only 8 1/4 in and my manifold is 8 3/4 inches.any easy solutions?maybe can i drill the rails or no ?my motor is a an 06 6.0 out of van.i ordered rails for a ls1 .whats the deal guys? or what the fix.?

Sounds like you should have ordered the truck rails rather than the car rails since you have a truck intake. whose rails did you order, aeromotive? What length fuel injectors are you using, car length or truck length?
-
Ramsey--the truck intake is quite higher in profile than the LS1 or car intake. You need truck style fuel rails. And what type of injector you are using is crucial fro us to know as well...Like Grag said, we need to know the length.

sorry it took so long guys.im using the 60 lb motrons from allen .theyre taller than the 42s .i knew the truck intake was diff, but i havent read any issues about them beeing too tall for fuel rails from ls1 ..goly **** greg youre confusing me over a fricken set of fuel rails.lol.they were allens so i didnt ask any quest.so youre tellin me i have 2 order a set of truck rails, wtf.the 1 time i think this is a no brainer.and yes i cheesed out and bought cheap for the first time . proff. products rails ,pt #10612see if i do that again.lol.i had my buddy order them 3 months ago.i never gave it a second thought.i knew i should of went aeromotive like the rest of my fuel system.any who what can i do temporarily, anything?till i get new ones or come up with something.or can i throw the stock rail back on with the new inj.?
-
If I buy rails I am buy the Prof Products rails. Not cheesy looking at all. If they'll work with the angle brackets flipped, do it. I don't understand the hole spacing being different though. Measure the stock truck rail and compare it to the Prof Products rail injector location.

i measured red ,they were 81/4 c/c and 83/4 c/c on the fact.setup.i might have some for ya .lol.im pissed how rediculous.so whats my options red?can i drill these things ?or can i use the stock 1 for now,?im just trying to think of a option too quick fix.

Use stock with spacers and longer bolts for now.

cool i will .do u haave an answer to solve my mystery yet tho .if you come up with something let me know would ya please ,i dont want too waste he money down the drain.ill sell them and get the rght 1s.let me know.thanks

Yeah well, Greg is our own Sherlock Holmes here...I couldn't even get another chance to say anything before Greg gets it done...thanks GREG. :)

just as a reference to anyone else installing 60 lbers on the 06 truck intake ,its closer to an inch of spacing after putting the stock rail back on .
