this sucks!
heres the scoop .i sent my laptop out to get fixed 2 weeks ago,and they said thay would notify me if they had to do any serious changes.i thought it just had a messed up keyboard cus i smacked it pissed off at my kid.not intentionally meaning to hit my computer ,but ass hole me did.anyway ,they called me today and told me it was ready.i went there and they told me thay replaced the motherboard and hardrive,in turn means i lost all off my fn tunes ,including my rescent tune i havent installed yet for bigger inj ,etc.so heres my delemma.do i need too reregister with hp tuners and all that or do i just reinstall my cd and go.?i am so pissed at them for not telling me ,so i could of saved all my info.then i had all my tunes saved including my stock 1 just in case of emergency.anyone have this happen?what am i going to have to go through ?

reinstall the software. Thats all there is to it. You'll need your activation code they sent you when you got it new.

ya but i had a heluva time after wards gettinng registered .will i have to do that again red?

Not if you still have the activation code saved. I bought a new laptop and had to reregister the software on here, too.

damn that sux bro, for a keyboard repair? they replaced the hard drive and motherboard, did the laptop still boot to windows? ask them for your old parts, at lease the harddrive, i really doubt the hard drive would be bad if it still booted up, sounds like they took you. as for hptuners i dont have it but it seems like you'll need the reg code for the unlock key, cause the new mobo and hdd will show a different code.. meaning you will have to register it with the new setup. if you get the new hdd back i can probably pull your info off it...
