well, the fuel pump in my 01 2500HD (LQ4) kicked the bucket. i want to put in a walbro 255lph in the tank to replace it. i looked, but i'm not really sure what all i need to order. do i just get a universal in tank pump, and then i can swap the pumps out? i havnt found any walkthrough's on the subject, but one would be helpful
Slimsilverado is pretty good Pm him... he has a complete list... I do know you need 300psi fuel tube.
you can call magnuson. They have a kit with everything you need.

Then lower it slightly with a floor jack. Disconnect the fuel lines at the front of the tank along with all of the wiring connections on the top of the tank. Once everything is unplugged/disconnected, lower the tank. Use a flathead screwdriver and knock the keeper ring off the pump. Then take the assembly out--unplug the wiring and slide the fuel pump bucket from the assembly. Take out the old one. What do ya'll do about the fuel screen? Does Chevrolet sell an ACDelco replacement? I work at O'reilly Auto Parts and I know for a fact we don't offer the screen for them cause they sell the whole stinkin module(rip off).
Ducky's thread about truck took a **** on me has everything you need to read. He bought the magnuson kit and its the same as everything else, not good enough for the novice and you still need to buy some **** to do the install.....
well, i ordered the magnuson kit today, should be here tomorrow and i'll do it on sunday
Has anybody had any bad experiences with Walbro fuel pumps? I've always heard/read that they are the way to go when it comes to high performance fuel injection applications but I've never read anything bad about them.
Only the cheap Chinese knock-offs have a bad rep. Be sure you buy only from a well known dealer with a good reputation.
