I am going to be sandblasting and painting my frame before i have the funds for the ls1. Will I need to do any modifcations to the frame if I get the adapter brackets for the mounts and relocate the AC higher on the LS1?

Nope, nothing to do to the frame if you do that. I have an LS1 in my 92 c1500 4x2 and it bolts right in without any additional work. I used the Fbody accessories BTW. Removed the A/C to be dealt with at a later date. LETS GET THIS BABY DRIVABLE FIRST.
thats why i plan on doing also. A friend of mine is buying my motor and tranny to drop into his s-10 for $1500 so Im in search of a motor again :D Will the ac have an affect on the computer programming if i put it back on later?Quote:
