cool run in with a GP GTP
i was coming back from dinner with my wife. i caught a red light and noticed a car coming around the corner from the left. it was late so i couldn't see exactly what it was but it had racing strips so i figured it was sporty. finally my light turned green and i took off to catch him. as i got closer i noticed the tail lights immediately but thought maybe a grand am. but then i inched up and realized it was way too big for a grand am, so i figured grand prix. then i rolled beside him and saw the three letters i was hoping for G T P. i gave the ole' LS2 a little blip as i went by him but didn't get a rise immediately. i was about 10 cars away when i noticed him really coming up fast. i have had cars that i know are slower roll past me because they had so much momentum on me, so i didn't let him get beside me before i hit it, he was back about 3 cars when i hit it, and i couldn't really tell how much i pulled. so i slowed back too 55 and let him close in again, this time i let him get right beside me and i looked over then he beeped, i thought he was gonna go on the third beep but he didn't he hit it right away, and got a jump on me, but it didn't really matter, as soon as the TBSS down shifted i started walking him. and i felt like really rubbing it in that day, i stayed in it till the speed limiter kicked in at 135. i had oooh maybe 10 cars on him or more. but we played around a bit till we got to the next gas station and both pulled in. he got out came over and shook hands, asked me what i had in it, i told him, nothing really just a CAI and removed the muffler, he said he could tell about the muffler and that she was fast. anyway sorry about the long post but its not everyday i run into someone really cool like that. i should post over on the GTP forum and see if i can find him.
