After my 2001 silverado 5.3 sits for awhile it will crank over and over and wont start till the second or third time I shut it off and restart it. Anyone have any experiance with this issue??? I don't know if its a fuel relay or the pressure regulator, or maybe the pump. It has 92,000 miles on the clock. Any help would be great. Thanks Mark

Weak fuel pump. Have you tested the fuel pressure?
Bought a new fuel pres. Reg, and it's the same as before. I guess I will have to buy a guage and check the fuel pres. The pump sounds real strong, but I guess that doesn't mean a thing. I'm open for other suggestions.

Do you hear the fuel pump run every time that you attempt to start the engine? have you changed the fuel filter lately? Do you have any codes?
Just bought it. I have not changed the fuel filter. The pump runs every time I turn the ignition on. no codes
