Whipple not making boost
Hey guys,
I'm stumped. My Whipple was making around 10lbs of boost and peaking at 12. Now I'm only seeing 5 or 6 max. I have replaced the belt and installed a new, pinned ATI crank pully. Per Whipple, we tied the by-pass open and as expected, no boost. Tied it closed and only made 5. No vacume leaks that we can find and no idle problems. We will be pulling the intake this weekend to check for cracks or bad gaskets. Anyone have any other ideas?
Thanks,
Scott

did you notice a decrease in performance? also ive had nothing but trouble with my crank pulley on my whipple could you pm a pic of what you got? if you get a chance. since its still making some boost i would have to say some sort of vacuum leak or a bad boost gauge. the charger itself is pretty straight foward there is nothing inside that could slip that i know of. theres always belt slip but you said you checked that... take the belt off and see if you can spin the pulley freely, also wiggle it there should be almost no play.

Yes I have noticed a decrease in performance. I'll check the gauge tomorrow. The pully is only a few months old on the S/C. I'll pull the belt off and check for wiggle also tomorrow.
Thanks guys
