techII reflash--lm7 to lq4

don't have the funds yet for nelson,but I will.Doing the swap friday night,I have a 99 ecsb 4x4.The lq4 is a 03 model,I'm familiar with a tech 2 and gm's programming(I know it's not performance programming) just wondering what to reflash to if i can or am I gonna have to get a newer pcm.Thanks in advance.

99 is cable driven and the 03 is dbw? You need a newer computer for DBW.
Or switch the intake and TB?
It should crank, but you will need to update the program.
