Z06 Cam vs LPE GT2-2
Hello everybody, My name is Dave and I am new to the site. Have to say its nice to finally find somewhere that I can find people to talk to who actually understand where I am coming from and also have excellent knowledge about late model GM trucks. That being said, I have a 2002 RCSB Silvey 5.3L and am lookin for a cam. So far Ive narrowed it to the 2002+ GM Z06 (LS6) cam and Springs (w/ 7.450" pushrods) or the Ligenfelter LPE GT2-2 with a set of daul springs. Mods as of now are just a flowmaster cat-back duals. Have a set of hooker super comp full lengths (1-5/8 primaries) with a cat free y-pipe ready to go on at the same time I install the cam. What do you guys think? Of course I will need a tune, and am planning on a Air intake of some sort as well. Do you think I will need a torque converter as well? Am lookin for good drivability and idle with some pretty impressive performance. Also plan a LS6 Intake install this summer. Any advice/ideas/help would greatly be appreciated. Thanks!!!
