Hey everyone,
I want to level out my truck w/ 2" lowering shackels for the rear. I've seen they run about $50 and most shops will install them for about another $50 as well.
Can anyone list out the basic procedure and tools required for installing 2" lowering shackels for the rear?
I'm just trying to figure out if it is worth messing with or just pay the extra $50 to have the shop do it.

takes no time. all you need is jack, jack stands and wrenches, but an impact makes it easier. might take you an hour and a half
yeah...2 bolts on each side....and should take bout 45min-1hr for a first timer....save $50 and do it yourself!
If you have a sportside truck...add another hour to that time to bend the bed out of the way!
Do a little searching and you'll find a post or two about doing the shackle conversion. I think two were written in a months time, one I did and I can't remember who wrote the other one. Its a very easy job but you'll need a jack and stands, 22mm wrench and socket.

Its a little harder if you have a hitch gotta take it off or cut it but it is very easy to do
Yea u just need some big wrenches and thats it
maybe a friend to help wrestle the spring back into the bucket once the shackle is on..
