wow i wouldnt have liked that much :ugh2:
power to weight. those new si's have almost 200 at the crank. and weigh less than 3k. and you can always tell yourself he sprayed on you.
WTF you got beat by a civic SI he must have been sprayin, My truck isnt even tuned and I walked a new SI a month or so ago from a 40 roll.......... DONT LET THAT HAPPEN AGAIN......... :ugh2:
well...my truck is running horrible, when you step on it some times it acts like it wants to die like it gets flooded, and the engine temp sensor jumps all over the place making it idles wierd....so today i ordered some o2 sensors and and engine temp sensor, i might coulda took him if it was running right, i dunno.
maybe your thermostat is bad. when you see it fly all over the place that normally means its bad. and or your water pump is bad. my v6 ran terrible when the water pump went out, got better mpg though. fixed the water pump threw in a new stat and filled up the coolant an she ran like a beast. check for leaks around your water pump an maybe change the stat. good luck!
that sucks man, my truck wipes its ass with those civics. good about hangin with the 6.0 tho.
Man is there something about us 6.0L? This all I hear lately is I beat a 6.0L here and a 6.0L there?
Tell us about your buddies truck. Is it modded, is it a 3/4 ton, heavy 1/2, SS VHO what?
Not trying to pick just curios.
Those 4.3L are good stout motors.
If you want to race a good 6.0L, race Jethro 3.
Jamest
yeah, no leaks the prob i think with the coolant temap sensor is either the sensor or a short in the harness somewhere as it is a used harness. and its not a consistent problem,
you can have the truck idling in park and it will be fine and if you move it outta park the temp gauge goes from about 170 over past 210 and the idle drops to about 300rpm for a split second and then the gauge goes back to about 170, any time you move the shift column it does something to the temp gauge...oh and some times when i start it the temp gauge goes all the way up and wont start, you can let off the starter and try again and it will be fine,
