Hey whats up fellas. i have a 4.8 (thought it was a 5.3...) in my s10 and since i thought it was a 5.3 it has a 5.3 computer...well the 4.8 just isnt cutting it and plan on getting an lq4...will my 5.3 computer work with the lq4? or would it be best to get a lq4 computer and pay a fortion to get it tuned again?

the puter will work but tuning is necessary
the pcm will work, but the tune needs to be checked. Your old motor was much smaller, so some adjustments need to be made.

i paid $450 to get my current pcm tuned to delete vats, and emissions...should i expect to pay this again?? i think i might have got jipped...
nelson has lifetime updates. who did your tune?
Current performance wiring...he specializes in lsx wiring for s10's...he did my harness so i figured id have him do my puter.
maybe he'll update the tune for you for minor money.
