gm head 799 casting number

does anybody have any info on these new 799 casting number they said it was a good head for a swap.:hyper2:

The 799 is the same casting as the 243 just made at a different GM foundry. You'll see them on the 6.0's - Vette's, GTO's etc... They both flow the same and have the same specs just different numbers. They're no different from Patriot taking a raw 035 raw castings and machining the LS6 style head.

They're probably just the ones out of Mexico.

Yes, but there could be comprssion ratio differences not to mention you have a smaller bore on a 5.3. What are these going on your 6.0?
