No one has posted here yet, so let me be the first. :jump:

I like this vehicle, and think it is a step in the right direction for Pontiac and GM. Everyone complains about the looks and price, but give it some time. I personaly like the way it looks, especialy the interior, and the exterior color options. And of course it has a LS1.

Hell , I love this car and it's exactly what i'm getting at the end of the year.

I like the silver color or black one. The interior is supposed to be awesome, and most reviews from the mailing list are reporting low 13's,

I love the car!! Very stealthy. What a sleeper. I can just here the ricers now, "I got spanked by this Grand Am on steriods"!!

I like the GTOs. I like the commercial that they put on for the just recently. They even rev the engine a little on the commercial. Sounds strong.

Speaking of a sleeper, the CTS-V would be a real sleeper. Just think, a Cadillac CTS-V drives next to you at a light and wants to race. You think to yourself, "yeah right. Yeah the car has nuts and looks pimp, but it handles like pure crap. This car was for the most part directly imported from down under without much adapting. Where that becomes a problem is in the suspension. The Aussie roads are pure hell and tear a vehicle up. To compensate they use some serious beef in their suspensions. In the case of the GTO that means all cast iron pieces holding the tires to the car. That is fine for down there, but up here it results in very poor and numb handling. :sad:

How about this then. I would take one of these in a second, bearing the right engine, of course. It has the styling the goat doesn't.

:drool: That looks sweet, just enough styling cues to resemble the old 67/69's, but yet still has the looks of a new car. Thats what GM needs to bring out to combat the new retro style mustangs. I would have one of those in no time, especialy if they offer it in hugger orange.

I keep up with the GTO mailing lists and they all are raving about how well the gto handles, blows away the camaro and sticks to the road, plus with low 13's, that's gotta be an great combination.

Well there is the problem Allen. You were reading reviews from the consumer. I was reading reviews from all the magazines that think that everything needs to handle like a Lambo. :taunt:

But just out of curiousity, wouldn't dern near anything handle better then a Camaro? I have never known those puppies to be great in the curves without a lot of tweaking. To me they always seem to be more of a straight line only car. Again, keep in mind that I own a very large truck and I know little about handling... I am just asking out of curiousity. :smile:
